Joe Cosas


Joe Cosas is a private music teacher, music director for Wellspring-UMC, and a freelance musician. Joe studied at Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) and at University of Missouri - Columbia. He currently resides in Tampa, FL. He has recorded with Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band), Marty Balin (Jefferson Airplane), Slick Aguilar (Jefferson Starship), Tim Schools and other musicians. Joe enjoys performing live, notably with musicians like Fernando Diez (Gloria Estefan, KC and the Sunshine Band), Mike Gordon (Phish), Early Clover (Coasters), Big Sam (Dirty Dozen Brass Band), Bo Diddley Jr, and the Benevento Russo Duo. Joe also had the honor of opening for the Flaming Lips, Cyril Neville, Felix Pastorius, Blind Boys of Alabama, Future Man, and the late Vince Welnick (Grateful Dead) as well as many other great musicians and musical groups. Most recently, Joe was asked to back Michael Lynch (American Idol).
